Writing Society: 15-minute exercise

The task:
Write a piece containing the words
'bubble-gum', 'tart', and 'compensation'.
Time limit 15 minutes.
This is what I came up with.

Chance meeting

Crouching, tear-stained
In the darkened alley,
With the silence that only
4 a.m. can bring,
I hear the sound of
Bubble-gum approaching.

I peer with blurry gaze.
Fishnet stockings loom.
Bright white handbag swings.
Tight-perm wig, scarlet lips,
Jacket a shade of strawberry tart.

Our eyes meet.
Fellow outcasts.
Both move on.
The wordless tryst,
A single city heartbeat,
The only compensation.
