A surge of madness

About five years behind the trend as usual. A sudden surge of madness compels me to start what may turn out to be a series of self-portraits on Flickr. Don't ask me why, because I'm not sure why. It may be about ten years too late for it to look any good, and it may turn out to be a really bad idea. But what the heck. Call it more therapy.

what's that nonsense about 5 years? go man. there are a few things everyone has to do to get it over with and only then you know what sticks. like anarchism, wanting to be an astronaut, self-portraits, drugs, foucault, shooting a gun, etc. know what i mean?

in fact, i challenge you to blog your list of that sort (both checked and unchecked items apply). if you do, i shall respond.

Shit matti, I did all that before I was twenty. What the fuck am I going to do now???

(But ok yeah I didn't get the Foucault at the time, nor now, so it's kind of like the books you have on your bookshelf that you have every intention of reading but really end up being there to show what kind of a person you want others to think you are, with the horrible side effect of guilt every time someone checks out your bookshelf and you dread having to say that you actually haven't read that shit.)

Can I mention what didn't stick? Being a tuba player, fencing, vegetarianism, snowboarding, Kant.

And Bruce, nobody needs an excuse to post their most beautiful on the Internet. :)

matti: I will make that list, honestly, but in a separate post. Watch this space!

happeningfish: I'll take that as a compliment, so thank you!
