In at last

A big sigh of relief. We are finally in our new premises.

On Friday, the Finn-Brit Players inaugurated the new function and rehearsal room with a performance of six revue sketches by Harold Pinter (as documented by charnel doze), as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations for the Helsinki Finnish-British Society. Yours truly co-directed and also performed in one of the sketches. The feeling was good and the new space shows potential.

Today, auditions for the spring show will kick off our first production cycle using the new facilities.

There's still plenty to do at the premises in terms of settling in and taking care of details, of course. And the first time round in the spring production cycle will, undoubtedly, give us our usual share of nice and nasty surprises. But the fact remains: we are in at last.
