This comes from a chat group. I'd like to think it's tongue in cheek, but in context it seemed serious. It's about Crewe, the town where I lived aged 4-9:
"We now have a Pizza Hut, Bingo and an American themed bowling alley, so if you're looking for a popular vibrant and cultural place to live come here!"

No, this has to be tongue in cheek! Crewe, of course, makes me think nostalgically of Change at Crewe those instructions of the once upon a time British Rail. I'm sure they still tell you to change at Crewe, whatever rail network you're using.
I do hope it's irony, nmj. Even though I was young and it was the dreary 1970s, I seem to remember Crewe as having just a railway, a football ground, a speedway track (now closed), ... and not much else. Change at Crewe for all routes outta here!
